| FX Alumni is a self-contained web-based alumni system. It
provides information and services to the alumni and also administrative
tools to the school. The system is completely outsourced, and
is hosted on our highly reliable servers, but it is individually
branded as your own. You are in full control of your site at
all times. |
| Online Community - FX Alumni
includes a dedicated web site for providing services to the
alumni. This includes the latest news and features from the
school and also a secure members' area for registered alumni.
Once approved by the site moderator (a nominated staff member)
alumni can get access to the members' area where they can search
lists of other alumni, leave messages, contact old friends
and more. |
| Privacy Protection - A high
level of privacy protection is essential for your school to
comply with the relevant data
protection laws, and will also be expected by your alumni.
FX Alumni is built with proper privacy policies in place at
every level. Registering alumni can choose what information
is shared with other members and what is only available to
the school. Alumni can send emails to each other through the
system without being forced to publish their email addresses.
We provide a suitable privacy policy included with each FX
Alumni installation, which the school can modify if required. |
| Control Centre - Manage
your own online content. Our Control Centre makes it easy
for you
to change public content, validate new users and user updates,
edit the members’ list, change the automatic email responses
and more. You can even set up multiple moderators. |
| Easy to Use - Your FX Alumni
website will include a simple administrative backend that will
allow all images and content to be updated with very little
computer knowledge – and NO programming, HTML, or database
knowledge is necessary. Best of all, you update the site so
you do not have to pay for anyone else to maintain the data. |
| Database Export - The Export
facility gives you the freedom to export member records to
other
database applications. Simply search records for selected criteria
and transfer the results to an Excel spreadsheet. From there
you can edit your data as needed and import it into your school's
other databases (e.g. Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge). |
| Built-in Security Features
- In order to protect the privacy of the alumni and prevent
unwanted visitors from using the site, alumni must be approved
by
your site

the first time they log in. User updates that might contain
inappropriate material also have to be validated by the moderator.
The moderators have full control of the alumni site through
the Control Centre, which has been carefully designed to
minimise the time needed to do the moderating. |
