Welcome to our demonstration of FX Alumni!

A typical FX Alumni site has been installed for our imaginary school (FX School of Web Design) for you to explore today. You will find the site at:

www.fxschool.net

You can access the public pages of our virtual school without a password. This will lead you to the login pages, news and features of the typical FX Alumni site. The graphics and colour scheme can by customised to your taste.

However, to explore the full functionality of FX Alumni, you will need login details. If you have not got them already you will have to contact us first.

Front Site
This is what your alumni will see when they come to the site.

1. Click here to open www.FXschool.net in a new window.
2. Navigate around the news, features, about us and help pages.
3. Click the link in the top left corner where it says "Existing Members Login".
4. Enter the user name and password to unlock the members' area (if you don't have a username and password, contact us first).
5. Now you are seeing the list of other members in your year. Use the links in the box in the top left to search for other members, change your details or log out.
6. You can click on a member's name for more information on them. Click the envelope symbol to send them a message.

Control Centre
This is the administrator's interface which is only accessible to school moderators.

1. Click here to open the log in area for the Control Centre (www.FXschool.net/cc).
2. You must have a username and password to log in. Contact us if you don't have one. Otherwise, enter them here to log in.
3. You are first presented with an overview of the vital statistics for your FX Alumni site. Use the buttons down the left hand side to access the different funtions of the Control Centre. Feel free to explore! Don't worry about making changes as the site is reset each night.
4. You can see the list of new users waiting for your approval by clicking the top button. See how quick it is to moderate a list of new user applications.
5. You can access the full database of registered members by clicking on "List + Edit".
6. You can update the news or features by using the "Edit Story" button. Check the front site (click on "Your Site") to see your changes take immediate effect.
7. When you are ready to leave, click "Logout" from the top menu bar to end your session.
