FX Technology Group is a small but cutting
edge web development company based in Oxford in the UK.
We develop leading products in niche markets, trying to
bring technology to bear in new ways. We believe that high-tech
products should often be pushed harder in order to deliver
more friendly and more useful solutions for everyone's benefit.
We develop all our own products and are constantly striving
for excellence in the the work we produce. Compared with
larger companies, we offer a combination of rapid response,
dedicated support (from people who really understand the product)
and cutting edge technology.
We are highly receptive to new ideas and feedback from existing
clients or prospective clients, so please get
in touch! |
Bent Grøver
(Siv.ing.
Norway, Ph.D. Cambridge)
Bent comes originally from the old Viking capitol of Trondheim
in Norway, but he has been living in the UK for the last
7 years.
He has a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
Before his Cambridge days, he did a “Sivil ingeniør” (MSc)
in Industrial Mathematics at the Norwegian University of
Science and Technology.
After Cambridge he worked for the strategy consultancy Mitchell
Madison Group/marchFIRST as an Associate in the London office.
Since then he has been involved in several start-up projects
in addition to some freelance consulting as a business advisor.
He has had an interest in alumni relations for several years
in his role as a Year Representative for the Trinity
Hall alumni at Cambridge.
Before that, Bent
was the
president
of
the International Association of Physics Students in 1994–95,
and he re-founded the Norwegian Association of Physics Students
in 1994.
Bent is familiar with the challenges of maintaining close
links with alumni. He is a firm believer that the rich
experiences and resources of former members can be used to
ensure a healthy,
thriving future for most organisations.

Mike Hyde
(M.A. Cambridge,
M.Eng. Cambridge)
Mike has an MA and an MEng in Electrical and Information
Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
After graduating he worked in the professional audio
business for 3 years as a global product support engineer,
solving problems and managing difficult situations in leading
recording studios worldwide.
Since then he has been involved
in several
start-up projects in addition to freelance consulting in
audio technology.
He has been developing and building web applications for
several years, always looking for new and interesting applications
of technology.
For Mike, the interesting thing in all of this is the human-technology
interface. He observes that all too often, high-tech
solutions miss the mark as they can only be understood by
other
technical people.
With ever expanding technology, Mike believes the challenge
has moved away from simply making powerful solutions. His
focus lies in developing solutions that are more intuitive
and accessible
to everyone.
